USA-TKJ Book: ATEMI WAZA OF KODOKAN JUDO
We are pleased have this opportunity to congratulate the Kano Ryu International School on its publication of the book Atemi Waza of Kodokan Judo, Practical Applications. Multiple Sensei collaborated and worked to prepare this book to include Juan Jose Lorenzo, Juan Francisco Avila, Yeray Vega, Ismael Jimenez, Javier Castañares, Francisco Javier Jimenez and Jose A. Caracena Fernandez.
This published work is focused on the practical applications on Atemi Waza in Kodokan Judo. The authors have recorded several self-defense sequences using different Kodokan Judo Atemi. In addition, this book introduces the history of this specific atemi including its characteristics and its classification.
It explains the use of atemi waza in Traditional Kodokan Judo. Also, on how to study and train in atemi waza in the dojo and for self-defense.
In this outstanding Judo resource, the Sensei of the Kano Ryu International School have produced a very credible and historically significant part of Kodokan Judo respecting the teachings of its Founder – Prof. Jigoro Kano.
