MAIF OFFICIAL MANUAL - INTERNATIONAL TAIHO JUTSU RANK REQUIREMENTS
The Martial Arts International Federation (MAIF) along with the Martial Arts International Federation (MAIF) ®, Panamerican Jiu-Jitsu Federation (PJJF), & World Ju-Jitsu Association (WJJA), have established the training doctrine & guidance. The Dojo Sensei should apply these guidelines and assist the MAIF Leadership in the further development & conduct of INTERNATIONAL TAIHO JUTSU (ITJ) TM Training. These ITJ Rank Requirements provide the training & promotion guidelines for MAIF Sensei & students in the areas of martial art history, traditions, techniques, strategy & terminology. From these Rank Requirements, the MAIF will formulate and publish a comprehensive training manual and videos for the INTERNATIONAL TAIHO JUTSU TM System. Our duty as MAIF Leaders is to provide challenging and realistic Martial Arts Training for all our members. The International Federation will do its part, and I encourage all INTERNATIONAL TAIHO JUTSU Sensei to study, understand, and teach the techniques, as well as the Budo Philosophy presented in this manual and on the MAIF Official Website. Sensei at every level must redouble their commitment to accurate & comprehensive INTERNATIONAL TAIHO JUTSU TM Training, remembering, that Technical Excellence is a "Top Priority" in the MARTIAL ARTS INTERNATIONAL FEDERATION (MAIF).
We express my most sincere respect to the memory of Hanshi George E. Anderson, our MAIF’s First President, for his extensive contributions thru-out his life in helping to produce this INTERNATIONAL TAIHO JUTSU TM Rank System. I would also like to recognize and give thanks to Shihan Richard Dunn, former INTERNATIONAL TAIHO JUTSU Technical Committee Chairman & MAIF Board Member and for all his technical input on Taiho Jutsu helping to produce this ITJ TM Rank System. Note, both the MAIF and USJJF Technical Committees have worked together closely to develop both the ITJ and ITJ Rank Requirements. And in closing, I also express my sincere thanks to all Members of our MAIF Technical Committee for their input and support in producing this most comprehensive International Taiho Jutsu TM training guide. We are pleased to present this Official ITJ TM Rank Requirements Manual and the MAIF Rank Requirements Books / Technical Posters which clearly illustrates the Skills & Techniques of INTERNATIONAL TAIHO JUTSU TM.
